Built by someone who couldn't find the right trail fast enough

Ridgeline started with a camping trip to Yosemite and a group of friends who spent an hour trying to pick a hike. It shouldn't be that hard.

The backstory

I grew up in Washington state — hiking, camping, exploring. When I got to college, I took three friends to Yosemite for the first time. We had one full day, no guide, and no idea which trail made sense for our group. We spent almost an hour going back and forth before finally asking a park ranger for help.

That moment stuck with me. Not everyone runs into a knowledgeable ranger. And even when you do, you're still piecing together permits, weather, gear, and trail conditions from five different tabs. Ridgeline is my attempt to make that whole process feel effortless — whether you're a first-timer or a seasoned backpacker who just wants a smarter starting point.

The tool pulls real weather, live park alerts, and permit requirements so you're not guessing. I built it to be the thing I wish existed that day in Yosemite.
